『フィフティ・シェイズ・オブ・グレイ』などで知られる人気女優のダコタ・ジョンソンが、祖母で名女優のティッピ・ヘドレンの驚きのエピソードを明かした。
ダコタ・ジョンソンは先日、「The Graham Norton Show」にリモートで出演。そこでティッピ・ヘドレンが、トラやライオンと暮らしているということを明らかにした。
現在90歳だというティッピ・ヘドレン。ダコタ・ジョンソンは、「彼女は13か14匹飼っているわ」「かつては60匹いたと思う」と明かした。そしてこのインタビューは、ティッピ・ヘドレンが電話をしているところにトラが窓からのぞいている驚きの写真が紹介された。
ではダコタ・ジョンソンはトラやライオンと一緒に育ったのだろうか。その疑問に対しダコタ・ジョンソンは「私が生まれたときは、彼らは大きな区域にいたの。だからとっても安全だったわ」と答えた。
ティッピ・ヘドレンは1950年代から60年代にかけてモデルとして活躍後、アルフレッド・ヒッチコックに見いだされ、『鳥』で映画デビュー。一躍スターとなった。また、同作でゴールデン・グローブ賞の有望若手女優賞を受賞している。

ティッピ・ヘドレンは1971年にトラを救い始め、1983年にカリフォルニアの動物の保護区をサポートするための財団を設立するなど、動物愛好家としても知られる。しかし、90歳になった今でもトラと住んでいるなんて驚きだ。
