無期限活動休止を発表したブリトニー・スピアーズ、スタジオに復帰の見込み！「アルバムリリースを楽しみにしている」

今年に入り「無期限活動休止」を発表した人気歌手のブリトニー・スピアーズ（37）に、活動再開の兆しが見えているようだ。

ブリトニー・スピアーズは今年1月、父ジェイミー・スピアーズが結腸の自然破壊の病で入院していることを発表。父は一時、生死をさまようほどの容体だったというが、1月の時点では少しずつ回復してきていた。

これをうけブリトニーは無期限活動休止を発表。ラスベガスで行われる予定であった定期公演「Domination」も一旦キャンセルとなった。

I don’t even know where to start with this, because this is so tough for me to say. I will not be performing my new show Domination. I’ve been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart. However, it’s important to always put your family first… and that’s the decision I had to make. A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalized and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him. 活動休止発表から約2か月経った今、関係者はUS Weeklyに対し「父ジェイミー・スピアーズの体調は、緊急搬送された時に比べとてもよくなった。ブリトニーも、自分が大好きな仕事に復帰できることにワクワクしている」と話した。

さらにブリトニーが現在、自身10枚目となるアルバムを制作中だと明かす関係者。「ブリトニーはスタジオに復帰して、アルバムをリリースするのを楽しみにしてるよ。プロデューサーのジャスティン・トランターと仕事をするのが楽しいみたいだし、彼を尊敬している」と、ブリトニーが仕事に対し前向きな姿勢を見せていることを明かした。

さらに、父の病気はブリトニーにいい意味で休息のチャンスもくれたと明かす関係者。「彼女は4年間、ラスベガスの『Piece of Me』定期公演でノンストップで走り続けた。次の公演『Domination』をまたすぐ始めるのは少し無理があったんだよ」と語った。

父の体調不良を受け、これまで以上に家族の絆も深まったというブリトニー一家。さらに2人の息子たちや、現在の恋人サム・アスガリともかなりうまくいっているという。

ブリトニーの無期限活動休止に多くのファンがショックを受けたが、彼女が復帰してくれる日はそう遠くなさそうだ。
