『ジュマンジ』シリーズや、『ワイルド・スピード』シリーズなどで知られる人気俳優のドウェイン・ジョンソンがインスタグラムを更新。自身が出演するネットフリックスオリジナル映画の撮影の延期をファンに報告した。
ネットフリックスのオリジナル映画『Red Notice（原題）』は、美術品を狙う指名手配犯と捜査官を描いたスリラー作品。ドウェイン・ジョンソンのほか、ガル・ガドットやライアン・レイノルズなども出演しており、ヒーロー映画にも出演している３人の共演ともあって、話題を呼んでいた。
ドウェイン・ジョンソンは現地時間14日土曜日に、インスタグラムを更新。「月曜日から２週間、『Red Notice（原題）』の制作を一時停止することにした。現時点で最も重要なことは、すべての関係者や、家族を無事家に連れてかえること。この状況を注意深く受け止め、最初は家族のため、次にビジネスのために最善の決定を下した」と現在の心境をシェアした。

It’s my privilege to speak eye to eye with our entire crew to help give a little clarity and guidance, as the most important thing right now is for us to get everyone home to their concerned families.

The Hollywood Reporterによると、ネットフリックスは、撮影停止期間中もキャストやクルーにギャラを支払うのだそう。現時点で、この2週間の延期がどのように今後影響があるのかは不明だが、今のところ、同作品は2021年に公開予定だという。
新型コロナウイルスは、他の作品にも影響を与えており、シーズン１～３がネットフリックスで独占配信中のオリジナルシリーズ「ストレンジャー・シングス 未知の世界」の待望のシーズン4の制作も一時停止状態となっている。
